The Essence of the Soul

At the yechida level of the soul, which is the actual essence of the soul itself, there is the opportunity for profound authentic healing to take place. As is taught in the Kabbalah, the soul has five levels with the deepest and highest level being the yechida aspect - that part of ourself that is literally part of G-d Himself. When we live in a yechida soul space all duality disappear; we are left with the pure essence of who we are. This is because at the yechida level there is no duality, there is only pure recognition of Divinity. We are conscious of our connection with the Divine and to all of Am Yisroel. In this state all possibilities are possible - anything can happen.

The yechida is pure and untarnished, in fact, it is unable to become blemished. At the yechida level health is purely manifest - there is no place for disease or death. Sickness is only a manifestation of a lack of connection to G-d. If these connections were all open there would be no disease or death (for a deeper explanation of this concept please see our article the power of Da'at). By definition the yechida level is fully connected to Divinity, with no obstructions whatsoever.

We have the power and ability to draw sustenance from our yechida - if only we know how. Luckily for us there is an aspect of Torah that deals explicitly with the yechida level of Divinity - Chassidut. Through its teachings we get to understand the yechida dimension of reality. To make the situation even more enticing, Chassidut is designed in a way that enables us to integrate its wisdom into our minds and hearts so that we make it part of ourselves (in Kabbalistic parlance it becomes part of our Da'at). Chassidut presents to us the essence of Divinity and then guides us towards our personal goals with the best direction based on this new level of spiritual awareness.

The clinical application of Chassidic wisdom has great practical relevance. It is taught in Kabbalah that the world is created yesh meayin (ex nilo - something from nothing) every moment. This means (among other things) that in every moment there is a new opportunity for healing, for new life. Divinely sustaining life-force is pulsating continually throughout creation, entering our yechida and flowing through all five levels of our soul into our body. This flow happens whether we are conscious of it or not, but if we are conscious of it it is that more powerful and effective at causing the positive changes we seek. How can we tap into this Divine flow?

The Chassidic masters have taught us how.

Through their mystical instruction and the Divine spiritual path they have paved for us we can start healing and living with a new quality historically reserved for the holiest sages. As the Chassidic masters have constantly reiterated, we have entered a new phase of history, one in which the Divine Life-force is entering our world vigorously to the point of being palpable - all that is required of us is to prepare for ourselves the necessary hardware in which to access it. Once we align ourselves to this Divine flow we are then able to internalize it.
