Sefirotic Alignment Therapy

By: Ya’akov Gerlitz

What is SAT?

Sefirotic Alignment Therapy (SAT) is a technique that assesses the qualitative vitality of each of the ten sefirot as they pertain to the health of a person. Being that the sefirot act as a bridge to the Divine, SAT can align a person with Hashem's Divine influx so that it will enter the body and properly circulate, thus bringing a person to a state of health. SAT was systematized by synthesizing medical knowledge with the Kabbalistic and Chassidic teachings of the sefirot.

Benefits of using SAT

Aligning one's ten sefirot can effectively promote physical health and healing and balance personality traits. In fact, by properly aligning the sefirotic characteristics of an entire family, the whole family dynamic can be brought into harmony. SAT brings Hashem into the healing process and thus breaks the notion that healing is a cold, mechanical event.

What are the Sefirot?

A sefirah is a channel of Divine energy or life force. It is via the sefirot that G-d interacts with creation, including people. The ten sefirot make up the totality of a person's being; they are part of the person's body, mind and soul. Inasmuch as all reality is created through the sefirot, they constitute the conceptual paradigm for understanding all reality.

The ten sefirot are Keter (crown), Chochma (wisdom), Bina (understanding), Daat (knowledge), Chesed (lovng-kindness), Gevurah (might, restraint), Tiferet (harmony), Netzich (victory, ambition), Hod (splendor, devotion), Yesod (foundation, bonding), Malchut (sovereignty, receptiveness). These ten Divine emanations make up each of the four major parts of a Jew (soul, intellect, emotion and body). By harmonizing these ten sefirot a person can become balanced and integrated. The sefirot make up a whole persona and act as a coat of armor protecting us from the influence of the evil inclination. Each sefira has its category of related mitzvoth, and avodas. When each sefirah is fully actualized and tapped into, it acts as a barrier against which the yetzer hara cannot enter.

SAT brings out a new dimension in health and healing.

By using SAT we are able to assess health conditions and their corresponding causes in an efficient manner. This is because we use a Dynamic Sefirotic Interface (DSI). Sefirotic Alignment Therapy can be used as a counseling tool, a personality test, or as an energetic healing modality that balances sefirotic energy. It all depends on how the practitioner chooses to interface with the sefirot. Either way, we will almost always provide you with clear and practical healing exercises. By utilizing the Kabbalistic teachings of the sefirot in a dynamic interface we are able to percieve the global view of a given situation.

SAT is a system of healing that is able to help people who are suffering from benign ailments all the way to advanced health issues (may we be spared). Physical conditions can be caused by a non-attunement between the body and the soul. SAT can help attune a person to discover his/her respective path. This is important (and pleasurable) for a person, because not living according to one's life's mission can impede on one's quality of life. We feel that Jews would like to be healed vis a vis their Jewishness. For any person to be effectively healed he needs to be aware of who he is and embrace it. Through SAT a Jew will be able to reflect the G-dliness within.

We live in an unintegrated world. Being that the sefirot not only pertain to the person but also to the larger environment, by aligning the sefirot we can reintegrate a person and his environment, thus helping to create a unified consciousness. Jews have the ability to tap into the infinite power of the Torah in order to heal. This can be achieved by properly aligning the sefirot within a person.
